My company uses the Microstrip system, in which wet (reduces dust) or dry methods can be used, and using ARMEX® Blast Media, I can use a variety of different abrasives to suit the job in hand. 

Some examples of the different abrasives and their capabilities.

Armex Soda: Ideal, for limestone, marble, wood i.e. smoke residue and fire damage, food machinery, printing equipment, engine and other machinery components. Also suitable for removing oils, greases, fat and tar. Ideal for rinsing clear without contamination and paint removal from vehicles, aluminium and machinery.

Precision hard abrasives, which come in various forms, e.g.

Restofine-fine recycled glass, for precision cleaning, paint removal and capable of rust removal, stripping steal bodies, paint removal from aluminium, marine anti-foul removal.

Restofine-fine synthetic aluminium- silicate. Is used for the heavy-duty cleaning which includes paint removal for architectural substrates at low pressure…
