South East: West Sussex: Small lathe or vertical mill for metal working

I've recently retired and as a hobby I'm looking for a small lathe or vertical mill - either manual or CNC, working or not working as a "project" to keep me out from under my wife's feet!! I've had a quick look around and it seems like small Myford or Boxford lathes are the right sort of size; Bridgeport is a common name for mills but many of them are way too big for my facilities.
