Michael was educated at London, Lancaster & West Berlin Universities and is a former MEP. He has been Associate Professor at Georgetown University, Washington DC.
Michael has been commentator on European politics for Singapore’s “Business Times” and for “Frontline” news magazine, India.
Michael is frequently invited to join international panels to discuss economic & trade issues at UN & WTO in Geneva and is Senior Adviser to a Geneva based think-tank. Michael also acts as trade policy adviser in Geneva & Brussels.
He receives many invitations to speak on European affairs, especially Brexit, from universities and many speakers' clubs.
Michael is also frequently a guest lecturer at Cunard & Noble Caledonia cruise lines on things European.
