Callac in the Côtes d’Armor is a sleepy village of 2,000 inhabitants. It boasts a coffee shop/pâtisserie, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, a pharmacy, a cinema, railway station and a lovely lake to walk around; about an hour from stunning coastlines to the north, south and west. There are some beautiful towns and villages within easy reach.
Your hostess/tutor’s home is on the central square, animated once a week by the traditional market. Your first-floor bedroom has a double bed, hot drinks facilities, WiFi and French television. You have your own bathroom with bath but there is also a ground floor shower room. A garage is available; otherwise there is plenty of free, safe parking on the square.
Your hostess, a retired head -teacher and HMI, retains her love of teaching and of the French language and will enjoy helping you to revive and polish your existing French or starting you off as a beginner.
Two affectionate dogs share her home. Only dog-lovers need apply!
A week costs £1250 for one; £2250 for two. The price includes full board, ie continental breakfast, one light meal and one 4 course meal with wine; 15 hours’ teaching.
Optional extras include accompanied outings, wheelchair pushing and collection from chosen air or ferry port.
