The ease of creating intricate designs with Macramé knotting makes this craft so fascinating and versatile. Tying knots with cords using one’s fingers work progresses quickly to create limitless projects including fashion accessories and home décor as well as becoming widely popular in Mixed Media artistry.
For beginners or for those wishing to refresh their skill I provide tuition in a relaxed, informal setting at times and dates to best suit you, tailored to your own project interests or previous experience.
Making a small Macramé wall-hanging to take home you will practise the basic knots, learn how to follow a pattern and techniques to create your own intricate designs. Gain inspiration and ideas from a variety of items on display and a range of pattern books to browse through.
As a qualified tutor I ran a number of Macramé courses in its former heyday of the late 70’s and 80’s. Nowadays with such an exciting range of cording available, the art of Macramé is enjoying a revival.

The 3-hour session is held in Downham Market, Norfolk on a date that suits you. Tuition is £45 for an individual or £35 per person (maximum 3 persons), including all cords used on the day.
