Gloucestershire: talks on local history, Slimbridge

Two talks are currently available.

Slimbridge Munitions Magazine - the story of the massive WW1 munitions area built in 1916 in open country adjoining the village.  The talk is lavishly illustrated with maps, pictures and aerial photographs.

Slimbridge Remembers - the story of the project to remember the men of the village who fell in WW1 and the detailed stories of three of the men.  The project resulted in the production of a book, memorial boards for each man and a commemorative event.

Further presentations of local interest are being prepared; see my website for details.
